Our People
Alumni

Lake Partners is successful because of the talented people who work here. Inevitably, some of our people will leave to pursue other opportunities and travel down new career paths. We are proud of their accomplishments and they remain a part of the Lake Partners family through our alumni network.

  • ANN, FORMER PARTNER

After departing Lake Partners in 2006, Ann served as the Special Projects & Outreach Coordinator for the Harold Ford for U.S. Senate campaign in Tennessee before returning to Seattle to start her own consulting practice, which was later merged into the Global Philanthropy Group. As a Partner and CFO at the Global Philanthropy Group, Ann works with high net worth individuals, charitable foundations and corporations to design and implement highly-leveraged philanthropic strategies to address a wide range of pressing global issues.

Ann was a Partner with Lake Partners Strategy Consultants from 2000-2006. She managed client engagements across a range of industries and developed expertise analyzing public policy initiatives and their impact on private sector investments.

Prior to joining Lake Partners, Ann provided strategic consulting services in Washington, D.C. as a consultant for both Dean & Company and Strategic Planning Associates (now Oliver Wyman). She worked in the Corporate Development groups at Artisan Entertainment (now part of Lions Gate) in Los Angeles and MCI (now part of Verizon) in Washington D.C. She graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University and received her MBA with distinction from the Harvard Business School.

Outside of work, Ann serves on the executive board of a federal political action committee supporting candidates for U.S. Senate. She is also a Vice President of the Harvard Business School Alumni Board and a trustee of the Seattle Repertory Theatre.

  • MICHAEL, FORMER ASSOCIATE

Michael left Lake Partners after five years in 2005 to join the founding team of wetpaint.com, a web startup that has become the largest online social publishing network. As the VP of Strategy & Network, Michael directs Wetpaint’s traffic and content growth strategies as well as the company’s corporate development efforts.

While at Lake Partners, Michael developed a strong understanding of the fundamentals with which businesses operate, gaining extensive experience in developing sales strategies, product positioning, staffing models, and operation improvements. He learned how to model those fundamentals, drive from data to key business insights and develop analysis into actionable sets of recommendations. He considers these skills invaluable to his success at Wetpaint and continues to draw on them daily.

Prior to joining Lake Partners, Michael graduated with honors from the London School of Economics. He came to Lake Partners because he thought that the people were great, the work seemed fun and relevant and the values of the management team aligned with his own: working hard, having fun, being rewarded for success and giving back to the community.

Outside of work, Michael likes to travel, cook, spend time outdoors, covet unaffordable classic European cars, tinker around the house and spend time with his family.

  • ARCHANA, FORMER ASSOCIATE

Archana spent four years at Lake Partners before going on to receive her MBA from the Wharton School of Business. Since graduating from Wharton in 2008, she manages a team at Google where she partners with senior directors to help improve their business and customer service strategy for the DoubleClick business.

During her time at Lake Partners, Archana learned how to structure and solve difficult business problems. She feels that the problem-solving and analytical capabilities she gained here have given her the skill-set to figure anything out. She attributes much of her success at Google – from clear communication to conducting meaningful analysis – to her time at Lake Partners.

Before joining Lake Partners, Archana graduated cum laude from Wellesley College with a degree in Economics in 2002. She knew she wanted a job in consulting and, although she had no connection to Seattle, thought Lake Partners was the right fit. She was drawn to the firm by the significant responsibility given to analysts and the smart, fun people. The view from the conference room was an added benefit.

Archana is a dedicated traveler – she’s been to 25 countries on 5 continents – as well as an avid photographer and salsa dancer.
